It all began in March 2019, on the Sunshine Coast, in the Queensland region of AUSTRALIA.
Kevin, CEO at SKO, was, at the time, working as a chef. One day, dockets began to overflow from the printer, running through the kitchen, and onto the floor where customers were dining. Although the docket rail was full, the printer continued to print beyond what was possible.
A customer stood up from her chair, kindly picked up the pile of paper dockets, and handed them over to Kevin…
It was then, he knew something had to change!
Kevin began to visualise an automated process. He envisioned a digital docket rail that would replace paper for good. The ultimate goal was to make life easier for chefs; allow owners to reduce waste; increase margins; and for customers to receive excellent service.
